Weiss Wins Democratic Primary

May 20, 2003 - S. Shirley Weiss also receives impressive number of votes in the republican primary and the highest combined party votes to give her 12.1% of all votes tallied. This FIRST PLACE position should garner a general election victory on November 4, 2003.

May 13, 2003 - Shirley Weiss moved that the Board of School Directors agrees to the terms outlined in the communication of May 6, 2003 from Frank R. Bartle, Esquire, attorney for the school district, addressed to John E. Ryan, Esquire, of Obermayer Rebmann Maxwell and Hippel, attorney for the Glenside Gardens Civic Association, for the disposition of the ongoing and potential matters of litigation involving the Abington School District’s proposed Athletic Facility on the Ghost Road site. Motion was seconded by Jeffrey P. Bates, Esquire and was passed.
